The Stuckeman Family Center adheres to the United States Green Building Council's
(USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green
Building
Rating System™. The Stuckeman Family Building has many features that
help define it at a "Green Building." Some of these features are:
- Many
of the materials that make up the building are from recycled content,
many of the materials are also considered recyclable when the build has
reached the end of its useful life.
- Energy effficient windows and daylighting.
- Powered by 100% renewable energy through PSU's annual wind purchase.
- Low impact landscaping and site design.
- Energy Performance that is 37% better than the baseline created by ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1.
